Practical Training
The institute provides practical training through both in-house and outsourced programs to ensure students gain adequate technical knowledge and hands-on industrial exposure.
1. In-House Practicals
1A. HPAI Practical Training within the College
Students are trained in well-equipped laboratories according to their respective streams.
Mechanical Stream
- Airframe Lab
- Engine Lab
- Mechanical Workshop
Avionics Stream
- Radio Lab
- Electrical Lab
- Instrument Lab
These practicals help students develop basic maintenance skills and technical understanding of aircraft systems.
1B. Industrial Exposure at HAL, Nashik
Students are also provided practical exposure in various shops of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited-Nashik Division during the first four semesters, enabling them to understand actual industrial and manufacturing practices.
2. Outsourced Practicals
Students are required to complete 300 Hours of Practical Training through approved MRO organizations.
The institute has ongoing MOUs with:
- Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL – Mumbai)
- IndiGo-Mumbai
- Air Works-Hosur/Kochi
Students are deputed batch-wise based on the availability of training slots provided by these organizations. The training offers valuable exposure to live aircraft maintenance and industry practices.
