I.Course structure for AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering):-

The salient features of Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course based on CAR 147 (Basic) conducted by HAL-Pravara Aviation Institute are mentioned below:

The duration of this course will be 2 years (4 semesters) and students will be issued with Certificate of Recognition on successful completion of training course.
      This will be a course completion certificate.

Students are free to choose any one of the 02 categories, i.e. B1.1 (Mechanical) and B2 (Avionics) as per the area of interest.
Every semester students will go through the theory as well as practical training within the campus and in HAL factory also.
In this 2 years of course, 30% of the practical training element of entire practical hours will be carried out in DGCA approved CAR-145 Aircraft Maintenance
      organization (Air India, Go Air etc.) for both the categories.

Students are required to pass the semester module examinations of this institute along with DGCA modular examination.
Total syllabus for AME is approved by the DGCA & accordingly the training manual is prepared by the Institute for both the stream.
The DGCA conduct modular exam as per the CAR 66 to harmonize with the EASA 66. Total 17 modules have been introduced by the DGCA as per new modular
      system,which will vary as per the chosen category. One can appear maximum 4 modules of the same sub-group. The entire exam process is online.

II. Course structure for B.Sc. Aeronautics.

1. For B.Sc. Aeronautics the syllabus for both the streams is prepared by the University of Mumbai.
2. For 01st& 02nd semester the syllabus remains same, whereas from 03rd semester onwards the syllabus keeps changing.
3. Up to 04th semester the Institute conducts the examinations, whereas for 05th semester the Exam is conducted by the University of Mumbai.
4. For 06th semester the student has to undergo Practical Training and submit the Project on basis of which the marksheet along with the
       degree certificate will be awarded by the University of Mumbai.


Note : The syllabus for AME & B.Sc. Aeronautics course are prepared keeping in view the entry level eligibility (10+2 Science) of students.
